Career Research Centre Ltd (CRC) is a UK-based education, training, and career development organisation where ambition meets opportunity and learning becomes a lifelong pathway to growth, achievement, and purpose.

From our base in East London, we support learners from the UK and overseas to gain the skills, knowledge and confidence they need to thrive in work and in life.

We work across three main pillars:

1. Career-focused education and English language training

2. Professional and compliance-focused training (including Health & Safety, Fire Safety, and Environmental Protection)

3. Specialist exam and career support services through our test centre and Career Hub

What We Do

Career-Focused Courses

We design every programme to be practical, relevant, and results-focused. CRC delivers:

• Civil Service and public-sector career support, including guidance on roles, applications, and assessments

• Health and Social Care qualifications to help learners enter or progress within the care sector

• ESOL and English for Business Communication, supporting learners to communicate effectively in academic, professional, and everyday settings

Our programmes are built around real job roles, current labour market needs, and clear progression routes. We combine classroom teaching, digital learning, and one-to-one support so that every learner can move confidently towards their next step.

Environmental Protection Training

Our Environmental Protection pathway is structured into themed modules, from introductory awareness to sector-specific courses.

1. Core Environmental Management & EMS

• Introduction to Environmental Management & Sustainable Development
  Basic environmental principles, UN SDGs, climate change, pollution and biodiversity.

• Implementing an Environmental Management System (EMS) based on ISO 14001
  EMS structure, environmental aspects and impacts, objectives and targets, operational control and monitoring.

• ISO 14001 Internal Environmental Auditor Course
  Audit planning, conducting audits, reporting and corrective actions (delivered in line with CQI IRCA lead auditor standards in ISO 14001/45001).

• Integrated Management Systems (Quality, Environment & Health & Safety)
  How ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 fit together in one coherent management system.

2. Environmental Law, Compliance & Risk

• Environmental Legislation & Compliance for Managers
  Key UK environmental law, regulator expectations and what good compliance looks like in practice.

• Environmental Risk Assessment and Aspect/Impact Evaluation
  Methodology, risk matrices, significance scoring and integration into wider safety/environmental management systems.

• Environmental Incident Investigation & Reporting
  Root cause analysis, learning from incidents and links with safety occurrence reporting.

3. Pollution Prevention & Spill Response

• Practical Pollution Prevention Techniques
  Practical approaches to preventing pollution in day-to-day operations, drawing on established PPPT frameworks.

• Spill Prevention and Emergency Spill Response
  Storage, secondary containment, emergency actions, decontamination and reporting.

• Marine Pollution First Responder Training
  Based on Marine First Responder principles, focusing on initial actions and coordination in marine pollution events.

4. Waste & Resource Management

• Waste Management & Duty of Care
  Waste hierarchy, segregation, hazardous waste, documentation and duty of care (supported by specialist waste-management training modules).

• Sustainable Resource Use & Circular Economy Basics
  Resource efficiency, reuse/recycling and designing out waste in projects.

5. Energy & Climate

• Introduction to Energy Management
  Energy basics, metering, simple savings and behaviour change.

• Energy Efficiency in Buildings for Facilities & Estate Managers
  HVAC, lighting, insulation, low-cost improvements and monitoring and targeting.

6. Sector-Specific Environmental Courses

• Environmental Management in Construction Projects
  Construction-phase environmental risks: noise, dust, waste, water pollution and ecology – drawing on civil and environmental engineering and site-management experience.

• Environmental Protection for Defence & Security Establishments
  Tailored training on environmental management systems, pollution control on ranges and estates, and fuel and chemical storage.

• Environmental Management for Facilities Managers
  Environmental controls in buildings, legionella, waste, energy and contractor management.

7. Introductory & Awareness-Level Courses

• General Environmental Awareness for All Staff (Half-Day)
  Ideal as an induction or refresher module.

• Managers’ Environmental Responsibilities
  Short course covering legal duties, leadership and assurance.

• Linking Health & Safety with Environmental Protection
  Integrated HSE thinking – useful for organisations wanting a combined health, safety and environmental training day.

International Students and Short-Term English Campaign

As a UKVI-licensed sponsor, CRC is committed to ethical, compliant recruitment of international learners for short-term English language programmes delivered in partnership with UK providers.

Our growth plan includes:

• A dedicated creative and events team to produce high-quality multimedia content about studying English in the UK

• A structured programme of webinars, UK open days, partner pop-up events, and participation in selected international education fairs

• Digital marketing and lead-generation campaigns targeted at key regions including South Asia, the Middle East and parts of Africa

Test Centre & Career Hub

CRC operates as a specialist test centre and career support hub, providing:

• Access to professional and academic examinations through approved testing partners

• A dedicated Career Hub focused on Civil Service and other competitive roles, offering advice on applications, interviews, assessments and ongoing career development

By integrating training, testing and careers advice in one place, we offer learners a seamless journey from learning to certification to employment.
